Maturity does NOT come with age. Let’s be clear on that. The wonderful Knickie D replied to my last post, and is definitely right. 

Men in their 20’s, 30’s and (good Lord, this is so unfortunate) 40’s and 50’s still have an immature mind when it comes to dating women based on the physical.

It’s sad yet true.

But I will also add, just because one of my favorite poets replied to this and it’s one of her poems that helps me feel beautiful and empowered as a plus size woman everyday, that woman are so much more than what society may perceive us as.

I encourage everyone to read ‘Big’ from Knickie D’s poetry book. To me, that poem speaks truth to the acquaintances between a beautiful plus size woman and an immature mind. We are not just “Pretty for a Big Girl” or “Ugly for an Angel.” We are so much more than that. And I would provide my wholehearted reaction for this poem, because it, and so many of her others, deserve it. But my review for this particular poem is somewhere in my archives from when I purchased the book at Spit Dat. 

But yeah, just wanted to add that.
